This mainstay of the Hua Hin region is a tough but satisfying course that always seems to have a water hazard waiting to catch you out.Once rated the best course in Hua Hin but nowadays up against some pretty stiff competition for that title, Majestic Creek Country Club nonetheless remains a favourite amongst locals and expats alike who are drawn by its stunning mountainous location. It's easy to get complacent after the first few fairly short holes, but you'll suddenly find yourself struggling to reach the well maintained greens in regulation or carry the lakes and streams that wind their way through the course. The fairways are firm enough to give good roll and 'fluffy' enough for your ball to sit up rather invitingly, and the greens always seem to slope and can be difficult to master, adding to the overall difficulty of making birdies. The final hole is probably the standout, a raking par-5 where even an ideal tee shot leaves you with a second that must carry a lake and a stream towards a green that slopes awkwardly towards you.
